Installation steps
- Placement: Position the chiller on a level and solid surface, such as a concrete pad, with sufficient clearance for airflow and maintenance access. Ensure adequate space for air intake and exhaust.
- Piping: Install supply and return piping for both the chilled water and condenser water circuits (if applicable). For chilled water piping, insulate it to prevent condensation and install service valves.
- Electrical Connections: Connect the wiring according to the chiller's specifications, sizing wires and disconnects appropriately. Ensure proper voltage supply, control wiring, and interlocks are installed and connected as per local codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Component connections:
- Connect pumps, cooling towers, and other system components as required for your specific system.
- Install necessary accessories like pressure gauges, filters, and relief valves.
- For water-cooled systems, connect the condenser to the cooling tower system.
- System checks and commissioning:
- Perform a leak test on all piping systems.
- Charge the system with the correct refrigerant according to manufacturer specifications.
- Check and calibrate all control systems and sensors.
- Verify proper phase and voltage balance before startup
